Brittany Berger, Founder, Mindful Music Lab

Brittany is the founder of the Mindful Music Lab, a one-of-a-kind immersive recording studio and healing spiritual space. She is also a published author, motivational speaker, fitness instructor, wellness programmer, mindset coach, energy healer, songwriter, and producer. Through her work, she inspires individuals to find their purpose, shift into alignment, overcome their daily fears, and prioritize mental and physical wellness. With her passion for addressing personal truths and embracing authenticity, she has become a leading voice in mindfulness, manifestation, meditation, and community. Brittany is a pioneer who continues to significantly impact the mental health and wellness industry.

Raised in Miami, Brittany studied Hospitality and Event Management at the University of Central Florida. She returned to her hometown after graduation and spent several years working in the events industry. The year before she turned twenty-five everything changed. She experienced true love and consequent heartbreak, career success and failure, and crossed the bridge of fear leaving everything behind to move to another country.  It was during this time, that she wrote and published her first novel, 25 and Self-Ish, which bloomed into a successful motivational speaking career.

Brittany began leading empowerment and wellness panels and events which expanded to one-on-one mindfulness and meditation coaching for children, adults, and professional athletes. In 2019, she opened, WELLTH, a wellness, wealth, and crisis management concierge service for professional athletes. The desire was to build a foundation for players before and after sports, creating an afterlife post-retirement where mental, financial, and physical support is sustainable once athletes transition out of their professional organizations.

Initially, Brittany’s role in the music industry was primarily as a mindset coach, reiki, and energy healer. It was during the writing of her second novel that Brittany discovered her talents as a songwriter. She knew she loved not only writing her own music but helping others create their best music. Noticing a lack of mental health awareness and support within the music industry, Brittany set out to create a space that not only fostered creativity but wellness and healing.

The Mindful Music Lab offers recording studio sessions, podcast filming and production, mindset coaching, reiki and energy healing, sound bowl therapy, and meditation. The space also offers astrology birth chart and tarot card readings, breath-work, and community events with sound baths, vulnerability-sharing circles, and manifestation courses.  The Lab serves as a place of transformation fostering a thriving community of musicians who are empowered, supported, and creatively inspired.

What is your secret to living a high-vibrancy life?

Being present, practicing mindfulness, protecting my peace, moving my body, and always choosing to follow my joy while leading with love. Being of service to the collective and healing while also receiving, creates synergistic alignment for me.

Who is a woo-woo working woman that you admire and why?

Tanya Khani, The Soulful Publicist! We met at an event and had the most beautiful conversation; we knew our alignment brought us to meet that day. What a vibrant spirit she has!

How do you balance work, wellness, and spirituality?

Wellness and spirituality are closely interconnected to my essence in everything I do, including work. To preserve the foundation of balance, I set aside my morning before 12 PM for myself. My morning intentions, meditation, grounding walk to the gym, and active movement in my body. A slow progression mentally into my workflow so that I can dedicate the remaining of my day/late nights to my work. As balance can change throughout life, and our routines, the importance of having the intentional mindset of balance, I believe, is the most important. Whether you are home, traveling, or at a partner’s house, commitment to self and intentional time helps me apply balance to my life. It is a choice within itself to or to not make the time, how, when, where, and with whom you spend your energy with.

Was there any one significant event that moved you onto the path of becoming the woman you are today?

Writing and publishing my book, 25 and Self-ish, opened up my entire being to vulnerability, shadow work, reflection, conscious conditioning, mindful programming, manifestation, and mindfulness. All of the things that were hidden in my subconscious I was able to free through writing and executing my memoir. I frequent sound healing ceremonies to disconnect and re-connect with my inner self which always brings me back to my book process where in every step of that journey, I chose me. I was self-ish. I ran right through the fear, trusted my intuition, and followed the signs from the universe, over listening to everyone else. YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE ANSWER. ALWAYS. If we can learn to listen to those pings that are within us and around us, we will always be guided to exactly where we are meant to be. Don’t obsess over when or how it will manifest. Just have trust in knowing that it will. You’ll end up there anyway… the journey will be even more magical when you are tuned into that frequency. Once you’re tuned in, the world will never look the same. It only looks better.

Personal Mantra?

Live life as if the odds are always working in your favor.

You do so much and you do it all so well. Author, entrepreneur, healer, motivational speaker, and coach.  That’s not even capturing it all!  How do you manage so many different pursuits and keep from feeling overwhelmed?

There are definitely overwhelming moments and when I recognize this feeling surfacing, I give myself grace, take a breath, and tune back into the universe. I always try to stay in alignment and with my unwavering trust in how the universe unfolds for me, I have faith that all will be handled even better than I can expect instead of trying to have too much control of the situation or outcome. I’ve had to program my mind to surrender, to leave items for another day, to not overstress, just to act as much as I can that day and knowing that that is enough. I do so many things at once, and funny enough, I want to do more, but I have an entire life to execute my dreams and I want to always leave space for magic. Universe, surprise me! And she always does. Rest days are important. I need to be better at taking more of that time without feeling guilty, so I have created a new motto for myself, “Rest = Reward.” When I rest, the universe rewards me. I have to give myself grace, and I pray that others give me grace too, because at this time, it is the best I can do.

Your latest venture, Mindful Music Lab, is a recording studio that holistically melds the creative music-making and recording process with well-being and mindset.  It’s such a cool and novel concept.  How did you know you had to create this space and that you could bring it all together?

The understanding of how essential mental health is in our community and especially in the music industry, needed to be louder. So loud that you could not ignore it. You would only want to be a part of it. This mindset does not thrive in a standard recording studio environment. You need to understand the artist’s mind, the songwriter’s mind, the producer’s mind, the manager’s mind, the A&R’s mind, the engineer’s mind, the musician’s mind. You need to already be elevated on your healing journey to understand how to get to point A to Z, then learn and teach all that you know, experienced, and learned so that you can create a safe enough space for beginners and advanced beings to feel comfortable to be themselves doing what they love. As a healer, you need to know, monitor, heal, and welcome the human experience through all dimensions. There was never a doubt in my mind if I could do this or not. I just had to trust God that it was going to manifest perfectly to God’s plan. I was a vessel for this work and being aware of that helped me trust and execute every day, still today. No matter what, I was going to do it because this is my purpose and mission. I have never felt a knowing deeper than this. Everything I love is now under one roof and this space is filled with so much love, safety, and wholeness, you would rather be here than anywhere else. That feeling didn’t exist. I had to create it. When you walk into Mindful Music Lab, you are welcomed into my home, which in turn, feels like it’s your home now, too.

What are the skills or attributes you believe have supported you in having such success in healing yourself and building a successful purpose-driven life?

Always strongly believing in yourself, your purpose, and your mission. The cool thing about life is that your purpose and mission can always change. At 25, I thought it was my book, at 32 I physically opened Mindful Music Lab and at this age, this is my purpose and mission. Everything that led up to now was a part of the grand unseen plan. It just unravels differently over time and adjacent to our healing journey. I always follow what I am curious about and if I enjoy everything enough to continue, I make lemonade.

What would your advice be to women struggling to figure out their purpose and how to bring their dreams and businesses into reality?

Take note of everything that brings you joy in your life. Not a big or small gesture, just what simply brings you joy. Write a list. Rate what you love the most and if that could be a business for you. Believe in yourself. Never give up, give more. Sometimes you are so much closer than you think. Sometimes you need to do everything yourself, even if it takes a little longer, you will get there and you will know exactly how everything gets done. Don’t put too much pressure on your purpose. Let it find you and listen to the ping when it knocks on your door. Sometimes it’s the quietest alarm. When you start to dive in, take note of the synchronicities, signs, and all the doors that open up for you for that “joy”. When you write the list, be excited! Your future is now and the universe is calling, so pick up!

What is the best professional feedback you’ve ever received to help you grow as a woman, leader, and entrepreneur?

Willingness supersedes talent. – Michael Malih.

How does one emphasize mindfulness and wellness in their everyday lives?

It is a choice from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep. What mindset do you want to live in today? It is purely intentional. Make it the best choice you have ever made, every damn day, to have the best day!

What are the morning and evening routines or rituals that help you stay focused and grounded?

My morning prayers and evening prayers of gratitude. Moving my body or enjoying slow time outside, drinking my hot water with lemon or matcha. Speaking manifestations into my water. My balcony at home and at the studio with nature views help me reset and stay grounded as nature is always rooted in my gratitude.

You’re also a skilled energy healer. Any advice on how to tap into our own healing and guiding powers?

Quietly sit with yourself, placing your hands on your tummy and ask your guides to tell you what you need to hear. Ask questions. Feel the answers. Strengthen your inner compass by spending more time with yourself so you know exactly what you want, how you want it, and who you are. Do it all with love. Never fear. Only love. Fear is just a barrier and blockage. The only way is through.

What is the greatest gift you can give yourself?

Love

Absolute favorite healers or practitioners for beauty, health, and wellness?

I am biased! My healers and myself are my favorites at Mindful Music Lab. My Reiki Masters, Marie and Tina, are brilliantly transformative angelic beings. My tarot, astrology/ birth chart reader, Manuela, is an absolutely profound intuitive energy. We really have a beautiful family synergy of healing here and I am so grateful. I love our hub as we always invite outside facilitators to host events in our space so the energy is shared with our community.

Advice to the Woo🖤Woo Working Women out there figuring out how to live their best high-vibrancy life?

Be open. Be curious. Be rooted in your truth. Consistency and discipline is the key. If you love it, follow it. It will always lead you to where you’re meant to be.
